Baby Ava's coming

Hey everyone. So I went to the doctor Monday. My mom got the joy of seeing her first amnio reduction, and after that a crazy possible mental person. (me!) I had some fluid taken out and started contracting really bad afterwards. Apparently there are ligaments attached to your uterus that can shrink back down after that procedure and cause "floor dropping" pain as the nurse called it. Well I had the joy of finding out exactly how floor dropping that was. It was worse than any pain I experienced when in labor with Dawson. I had already had an epidural at that point with him or else I just have a really horrible memory. Of course while I'm in the worse pain EVER my mom is talking about how nice it is that the hospital has green sheet's instead of "them ol' white ones" Ok seriously mom? Leave it to mothers, lol. Anyway soooo happy she was there, I really thought I was going to have a baby and Eric was in Cinncinnatti for work that day. Talk about SCARY! Anywhooooo, the doctor sent some fluid over to the lab to be tested for lung maturity, and my little linebacker (yes i'm aware she's a girl, but you should feel her kicks!) has mature lungs!!!! They decided it would be best for me to have another c-section (tear, tear) and the lucky day is tomorrow. Yes Ms. Ava's birthday is going to be July 17th. We have to be there at 7:30am and they will start the surgery around 9:30.... so by tenish she should be here!!! She will be about a month early, but they're not too worried about it. If they would not have scheduled a c-section I have a feeling she would be coming in the next few days anyway and it prob would be sat when everyones gone! My mom, sister, grandma, eric, christa, dawson, everyone, will be out of town for something sat. THe way my lucks running that's when she would have decided to make her appearence. I guess Erics softball game is cancelled for Sat. sorry Eric... Soooooooo I finally get to see what she looks like, I'm so excited, but at the same time soooo scared. It's one of those bitter-sweet moments. I'm happy to have this pregnancy over with because it's been so bad but then on the other hand I know she's safe in my belly and would keep her there forever if it would make her ok. She's strong though (once again you should feel her kicks) so I know she's going to make it through all of this and be just fine! Plus she has a whole bunch of people praying for her every day! I'm not going to post any pictures today, because I have no new ones, but I will post some up of the baby asap. I'm having Eric bring the lap-top and I'll have my camera cord. It will give me something to do during those long just sitting around and waiting surgery moments. Christa helped me put together a list of everything I needed to pack, and we're good to go! We're still not sure on when they are doing the surgery on the esophogus/belly issue but will know more after she's born and they run tests. I'll let everyone know in a few days... so till then, keep baby Ava in your prayers :)

Also my mom is taking my sister to American Idol try-outs this weekend. Just thought I would let everyone know that, so when the time comes you'll be ready to vote vote vote!!! Wish her luck!

One more thing, Christa got the results from her leep/leap whatever it's called. You know, the thing where they burn your cervix off ;) It came back negative!!!! Yipeeeeee. Everythings good, so she can have more babies :) Now she just goes back every 6 months to see the hot doctor (hmmm maybe i need a leap/leep, hehe) and once she gets 3 norm paps shes back to going just once a year! I'm so happy happy happy for her. Maybe we can have our boys together next ;) Oh and I got a couple pictures of the kids today so I'll go ahead and post them. Aryssa just fell asleep again, only this time sitting up. Awwww to be a kid again :)

Oh and Aunt Deveda if you're reading this grandma sent me your email address. I tried emailing you this morning but it came back. I don't know maybe I don't have the right address? I have a problem with Aunt Barbaras at times to??? Thanks for the comments though, and yes I remember you!!!

Dawson and Aryssa found swim diapers today, amazing my 8 yr old still fits in them.I guess the hot choclate wore her out. Yes we had hot choclate in 90 degree heat. kids.....

I saw my first piece of cervix today, cool!!

Well I did end up getting to tell Mr. Clark bye after all. He's such a great doc.! I'm going to miss our weekly visits! Sooo going to visit the "chicken noodle soup killer" (long story)was a fun experience today. I didn't get to hold Christas hand but I did get to make her laugh. We have a lot of fun at our doctors expense. Of course he has no idea what we're saying but I think he's got a pretty good idea at how silly we can be. I know he does he actually made a funny comment about something being "something Jami would do" lol. Anyway us being the goofballs we are took pictures while we were so patiently waiting for Christa's cervix to be cut out. Of course when she would look at me I'd have to do something silly and we would start laughing all over again. It was fun, well as fun as can be for having done what she was having done. It was educational as well. We learned that Dr. Bacconee has never killed a patient (yes I asked him that), we learned that there were two diff kinds of hysterectomys, that I could breathe in "Christa's particles" if I didn't wear a mask, that the "spectrum" aka clamp thingys aren't of normal size when doing this procedure, that numbing your cervix does involve a BIG needle, (despite what Theresa says) Dr. Clark has really ugly shoes and looks bigger in his scrubs vs. his normal shirt and tie wear, oh and that he has gray hair that we've never noticed before, and of course I taught them that the masks were'nt throw away under-wear.(another long story) Oh yeah and Christa taught me that your arm shakes way more if you do the shake a bottle motion vs. just the waving good bye motion. Go ahead and try it I know you all are! I know I am getting a gym membership as soon as this babys born! Anyway Christa will find out in a week if everything's ok or worse case scenerio... if she will need a hysterectomy. Everyone keep her in your prayers because the crazy chick wants another kid ;)

The BIG needle and the huge "clamp thingys" weird machine thing we amused ourselves with the thing to put on her leg so she didn't get electrocuted we had fun with these! i brought mine home as a souvenir :)

Miserable Mieserable Miserable!

Hey everyone, it's been a while since I've wrote, sorry! Anything that requires brain cells hasn't happend lately. I haven't felt so great. Well we met with the heart surgeon Monday. Nice guy! Everything seems great with that so far. They're once again more worried about getting the other issue cleared up before they do surgery on the heart. He said the words we seem to hear a lot lately, "it's a fairly large hole" but fixable. There's actually like only a one percent chance of something going wrong during that surgery. Pretty easy surgery I suppose. Sounds weird considering it's her little tiny heart he'll be working on. Good news, well kind of, well we think. They saw a tiny bit of fluid in Ava's stomach Monday. This they once again think means there's a fistula. We think this means it will be easier to fix rather than no fistula. It's really hard for me to explain so here's a link for everyone to look at and maybe understand a little better. Honestly I'm questioned out and don't even know how to answer anymore. http://www.healthofchildren.com/E-F/Esophageal-Atresia.html So with this news I'm hoping it means a shorter hospital stay and I can bring my baby home!!!! I can't wait! On to me being absolutely miserable.... So during the ultra sound they inform me my fluid level is at 38. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! It was at 30 last time I had it drained. (norm is between 8 and 18)I seriously don't think I can take it anymore!!! To roll over is the worst belly pain I think I've ever experienced. Well almost. It hurts though, I'm deff. over it. I'm trying to hold off for my next Monday appt and possibly get it drained then. Not sure if it's going to happen but I'm going to try!!!! I can't eat very much because it hurts and there's no where for it to go. I can't get a full breath in, just all around SUCKS! Dr. Summners (specialist at St. V's) decided to take over my care. Makes me kind of sad, I didnt get to tell Dr. Clark bye. (that's what Christa and I like to call him) I guess I'll see him at my 6 week checkup though. So this means my cerclage will not be taken out on the 24th now. On the 23rd they are going to do an amniocetesis to see if the babys lungs are mature. If they are then they will schedule a date to take it out and possibly induce me. I'm guessing it will be that following Monday, the 28th. I'll keep everyone posted!!!

So how was everyone's 4th of July? Mine was spent watching my mom and Diana paint Aryssa's room, sleeping, and watching fireworks out the window periodically. I wish I could help paint!!! Eric prob wishes I could to beings how we sent him back to the store ten times :) The first time was his fault though, I told him not to buy flat paint but did he listen to me? Nopers! Do they ever? Nopers again! We didnt have Dawson or Aryssa so we decided to stay in that night. We did however go to Christas anual 4th of July cook-out Sat. As always that was a hit! We were a little late, ok a couple of hours late, but had fun while we were there. They do a better firework show than downtown. I didn't get to see the finale though, I was inside and they had like three or four finales? Go figure drunk people, teenage boys, and fireworks, lol. I also didnt get to have my one drink time with Christa a year, but hey there's next year! There was a lot of food and a ton of desserts thanks to Christa "Deen". (She thinks she's Paula Deens daughter)That was a pregnant girls heaven! I'm still thinking about all that food :) I ended up having a million in one contractions and had to leave after the fireworks. I didnt get any pictures because I forgot my camera, I did however steal a few from other people.

Christa gets to take a trip do see good ol' Dr. Clark today. I don't exactly think its a fun one but one that needs to be done!!! Hopefully this appt will get rid of the spot "cancer" in her cervix. If so yay if not she'll have to go in and get it done again. We'll see, I think it takes about a week to come back. Not sure though, I forget. What don't I forget anymore? I offered to go in and hold her hand but I think she wants Dr. B all to herself. Everyone keep her cervix in your prayers!!! OK I'm going to post a couple pictures now...

she fell asleep like this watching a movie

aryssas striped wall I couldnt get a very good picture b/c I'm too fat to stand where I need to in order to get a pic of the whole wall :)

Just some belly pictures

Just some belly pictures, a couple of them are pretty funny so i wanted to share them with everyone! I don't think she's going to be in the belly very much longer so get a long nice look. Eric thinks he wants 0 more kids so this may be the last time you all get to see my growth, lol. I get this cerclage out in about 2 1/2 weeks and I think she'll come prob within a couple of days from when i get it taken out. (well if not before then) I got to take another lovely trip to the hospital Monday night, contractions, contractions, contractions... story of my life. I'm just a BIG walking contraction. Or laying contraction that is. I don't do much walking these days. Anyway I'll prob get some of this fluid drained one more time so she'll hold out for a couple more weeks. Oh and p.s the lop-sided ones are of me having a contraction. She was laying funny so when I had the contraction you could see where her back/ butt area was. She's already posing!

I was 16 weeks (thats 4 weeks Phil, haha)here, still small :)

Me and "grammy"

My mom made this stool!!!

It's like 5 in the morning, and my growling stomach woke me up. Now I can't go back to sleep. Oh well... I have all day right? I am getting to watch a newborn have heart surgery though. TLC has all the good baby shows on. How was everyones weekend? Well other than Christas, driving all the way to Sam's Club, only to buy nothing.!.! Mine was spectacular, other than a few mood swings. I'll be glad when this is over. No Ava that doesn't mean you can come out quite yet!! I do think everyone should be ready towards the end of July though, just a feeling. My mom threw a great shower this weekend! Best, cutest shower ever :) We all know I love presents, and yes there was lots and lots of presents. Ms. Ava will have lots and lots of clothes!!! I won't have to buy her any next summer. We know I will, but I won't need to. I didn't get any of the things that most people get 100 of. You know, nail clippers, snot suckers, bottle washers, diapers, wipes, that sort of thing, but I did get a few gift cards. I'll be using those for all of that stuff!!! I'm still not sure on what/if the baby will be on bottles so we're going to hold off on those until after her surgerys. My mom even got bags that matched the presents. CUTE CUTE CUTE! The cake was super cute, it had a prego chick on it made out of fondant, it was cute, and yummy! (for a white cake that is lol) That's ok my aunt (he-he) screwed my moms cake up for her birthday too. I got the one for the surprise party,it was perfect. J-K, it was really my fault my aunt messed it up. I do remind myself every now and then, choc. whipped, kroger. (right mom?)I thought it was choc. marsh, butter. He-he. I'm still the best daughter ;) OK about the shower... Everyone matched, that was fun. I love matching! We were kind of late to my own shower on account of that, but hey that's ok, my dress matched :) My mom bought Aryssa the cutest dress. It was brown with pink polka dots, I'll post a picture. Christa did a good job on the games. She also did a good job leaving a bag of about 12 candy bars laying around. She couldn't buy the minature ones could she? I think I've went threw and took a bite out of every one of them. That's ok, I'm getting my candy bar fix, I normaly don't like them, but for some reason Ava likes them. Diana won the grandma game. For those of you that weren't here, I had all of the grandmas paint a onsie for Ava to wear. Erics mom being the artist she is won!!! I'll post a picture of that too as soon as I get them. Well I'm going to attempt to post a few pictures now. When my mom emails me what she has, I'll post those as well. I promise after this pregnancy is over, I'l'l look better. I look awful in these pictures, ahhhhhhh! Don't be scared :) P.S. I'm a little bummed, we didnt' get pictures of everyone, like all the people at the shower. Who forgets to do that? Apparently I do. Oops I accidently put two of the same pictures on here, not sure how to get them off...

For some reason I can't write under these pictures on the bottom, I think everyone knows who everyone is though, right? Oh the punch fountain was a hit, other than Stacy and Kelli wanting to put some vodka in it, lol. THANK YOU everyone for everything. Ava's going to love it all. Well I'm going to anyway. I have a feeling I'l lbe taking lots of pictures, like one everyday of her in a diff outfit! At least for the first year anyway :) Mom thanks so much for throwing the shower you did a wonderful job!!!!! Christa, thanks for leaving the candybars :) Alec thanks for getting moon sand all over Dawson's floor, he won't stop talking about it, lol. My son is Mr. Clean, like ocd mr. clean, i love it though!!!!! Really though, thanks everyone, it's a shower I'll never forget!

Ava Jae Grace's first pee :)

So I've had an eventful weekend so far. My darling daughter in my stomach doesn't really want to be in my stomach at the moment. I was having contractions every couple of min. Fri. so I went to the hospital once again. Pretty soon I'm going to be inviting the nurses to my kids birthday partys. Anyway they put me on magnesium, yay, great. That stuff is horrible, I still can't walk right! It did the trick though, contractions slowed down. They werent as mellow as the doc would like so he decided to do an amnio reduction. All I have to say is OUCH! The needle going in was the easiest part. My blood pressure decided it wanted to go down, and that was the not so fun part! Not only was I on the verge of vomitting, they didnt have the right equipment, so this needle was hanging out in my stomach while the doc withdrew it the old fashion way for about 45 min. That was painful. I think all together it took a good hour. Thank God for Eric. He stood behind my head, squeezed my hand, then continually put ice rags on my face and fed me ice chips. If he wasn't there mr. docs white coat wouldn't have been white anymore! Have I said yet how much I love him? (eric not the doc.) So I escaped, or should I say they escaped from being puked on. So after a small dose of morphine and something else along with an hours worth of fluid being drawn, I feel way better, and am way smaller, and way way more comfy! They took 2500 cc's, basically a 2 liter bottle full of fluid out of me. Therefore I got to see my babys first pee this weekend, awwwwww how sweet :) Now I get to look foward to going in and doing it all over again in about a week prob. Hopefully it'll last a little longer but with her not swallowing it'll prob be relief for only a few short days, tear tear!!!! Whatever keeps her in there for a while longer works for me :) I'll keep everyone posted :)

Kami's wedding and pre-wedding
